I’ve always enjoyed running. The simple act of placing one foot in front of the other is basic and grounding.
When I was young, I used a stop-watch when I worked out. Tenths of a second were important then.
Many years later, I realized that a simple watch would do. Tenths of a second didn’t matter anymore. Maybe seconds did, but more likely minutes.
And now? Now I don’t use a watch. I use a calendar. I go out, and I come back. If the date hasn’t changed, it’s all good.
